We practice social responsibility by raising the needed funds to deliver used footwear to people in need all over the world.  Kinder Soles are also made from recycled water bottles and have ergonomic footbeds for proper support.

Today, Kinder Soles is a growing company with products that are eco-friendly, healthy and socially conscious. Our goal is to help people around the world and from all walks of life while contributing to a cleaner environment.

Mark Saad | Chief Kinder Sole

As an importer/exporter, Mark has traveled around the world, often to third-world countries, where he was appalled to see tragic living conditions. Mark saw children walking barefoot in landfills; it made him sick to think of all the unused shoes sitting in his closet back home.

After learning more about the worldwide ‘footwear shortage movement’, Mark decided to get involved.  He realized that getting people to donate old shoes was easy, the challenge was raising the funds needed to send those shoes to the people who need them most.  Mark launched Kinder Soles in 2010 to help raise these funds.  Proceeds from every Kinder Soles purchase go towards sending shoes to people in need through the SoleMates Foundation which is Kinder Soles' non-profit arm.

Chris Smith | Co-Founder

As a tennis pro, Chris was familiar with the ailments that athletes commonly encounter as a result of poor footwear. Chris understood the importance of suitable footwear on and off of the court. He began to study the ailments caused by traditional flat flip-flops that he noticed his students wearing everyday before and after practice. Chris began exploring the idea of creating a healthier flip-flop with better arch support and a heel cup. Chris teamed up with Mark to develop not only a healthy flip-flop company, but one that is green and has a purpose.
