Raleigh, NC – October 17, 2011 – SoleMates Foundation has announced that Tir Na Nog is hosting their “Cure for the Mondays” comedy night, on October 24, 2011 at 8:30pm to benefit the foundation. "Cure for the Mondays" is an open mic style stand up show that takes place every Monday night at Tir Na Nog. Tickets are on sale now at www.kindersoles.com or at Tir Na Nog, located at 218 S.Blount St. in downtown Raleigh. Please note there will only be 200 tickets printed. Tickets are $10 (suggested donation) and purchasing a ticket in advance enters you into an exclusive raffle to win one of the top tier prizes worth approx $1000. Donations at the door enter you into one of the other raffles going on throughout the show. Beer and raffle prizes donated by: Amplified Art, Foothills Brewery, Kinder Soles, 20/20 Eyeworks, Revolver Consignment, Triangle Glides and many more.

“Cure for the Mondays” showcases the best standup in the Raleigh area, with comedians traveling from all over NC to perform. On October 24, 2011, the event will raise funds to support and develop SoleMates Foundation and provide funds necessary to collect and distribute shoes domestically to people in need. Attendees are encouraged to bring shoe donations; there will be donation boxes at Tir Na Nog all week. The show will be hosted by Toola Boxx and will feature comedic performances by Shane Smith, Trent Bowles, Crazy Boris, Caroline Monday, Brian Deans, Chase McGee, Mickey Schroeder, JM and Eric Meggert.

“We have been hosting our comedy night every Monday for about a month now, I was happy to showcase local talent, and give area comedians a place to perform. It's been a great success for everyone involved so far as a free weekly event and I hope that we can build on that success and raise a lot of money for a very worthy organization. We are very excited to take advantage of something that's been good for us, and utilize it to help SoleMates Foundation. There will be a ton of great raffles prizes as well, thanks to a generous response from several neighboring businesses. Everyone involved is committed 100% to making this night a success.
