Kinder Soles, a socially responsible flip flop company offering footwear made from recycled materials, is proud to announce Donate & Deliver, a four week long shoe drive that will take place in Raleigh, N.C., throughout the month of August. The goal of Donate & Deliver is to collect 2,500 pairs of new and gently worn shoes and $5,000 to help send them to individuals in need around the United States through the company’s newly launched SoleMates Foundation.
 
Donate & Deliver will host multiple events throughout the campaign at the local Irish pub, Tir na nOg, located on South Blount St. in downtown Raleigh. To help reach their goal, Donate and Deliver event guests are asked to bring a pair of shoes or make a monetary donation to benefit the SoleMates Foundation. Participating partners include Tir na nOg, Brasco Design+Marketing, LoneRider Brewing Company, Riley Life Logistics, Triangle Blvd, NewRaleigh.com, Adam Peal, Raleigh Denim, Capturing Life Through (better) Photography, and Accent Imaging.
 
“Collecting 2,500 shoes in just four weeks is a big undertaking, but we are dedicated to making a difference for those in need of proper footwear. Donate & Deliver will provide our community a great opportunity to give back and have a lot of fun at the same time,” said Mark Saad, co-founder of Kinder Soles and SoleMates. “The Triangle area has embraced our cause and shown us such great support, so we couldn’t think of a better city to host this important event than in Raleigh. We are excited and can’t wait to see everyone at the events.”

The full schedule of Donate and Deliver events includes:

- Donate and Deliver will officially begin on Thursday, August 4 with the official kick-off party from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The party will offer after-work beer specials and gives consumers a chance to meet and greet all the Donate & Deliver sponsors.

-Things start to heat up with the following week’s event on Thursday, August 11 during Local Band Local Beer from 9 p.m. to midnight. As a special offer, all guests who bring a pair of shoes or make a $1 donation will receive entry into a raffle for the chance to win prizes including Kinder Soles merchandise.

- Wednesday, August 17 gives consumers the chance to sample local beer donated by LoneRider Brewing Company while testing their trivia knowledge in a contest from 8-11 p.m.

- For those who don’t get their fill of trivia, they can come back on Monday, August 22 to the Run Club and participate in a trivia contest focused on all things green from 6-9 p.m.

- Finally on Thursday, September 1, the Donate & Deliver wrap-party with take place from 6-9 p.m. and be the final push for Kinder Soles to reach their goal of 2,500 pairs of shoes donated in one month. The event will feature music, drinks and lots of raffle prizes for guests to win.
